The pics on the 10th are the most recent. I had placed 5 sps frags in the tank as sort of a water quality tester. All are doing great so far after 5 days, good polyp extension and no recession. Probably won't take many more pics until I get some coral in there. Going to give the test corals one more week to see how they do.

I think the sister in law was wanting to know on the whole build. Just a list of costs would be good I think.

Amazing looking tank, I think you have to be one of the favorites to win the build of the year.

There are a lot of real nice tanks in the build off, but thanks!

Thanks. Looks great and I will forward the list to her... I actually think I have her talked into doing a tank between her Dining room and living room.

Also keep in mind with that list that almost all of the equipment I got used or new in box (discounted) from local reefers or on RC. It would cost far more if everything was new.

My friend and I made a bracket for the luminarc out of 1/8" aluminum strapping. Hooked it up yesterday with a Hamilton 14K bulb. Noticible difference around the perimeter of the tank.

I am sure that the tank she gets... and I hopefully get to build for her is going to be smaller. therefore.... smaller price. We shall see.. it is still up in the air on whether or not she is going to do it. On another note, the Mother-in-law wants a small setup like I built for the Nano build off... yeah for me.

Can definately be done cheaper, but I wanted specific equipment for this tank. The 65 gallon QT that I set up with spare parts that is shown earlier in this thread probably cost me about $400 in total for materials for the stand and canopy, 2 new bulbs, a Mag5 return, and the rock.

Tank with 100 gallon rubbermaid sump in place
The luminarc and the aluminum bracket I made to hang it with
Also picked up an icecap 430 last night to eventually add some VHO actinics. I have run T5's and VHO's side by side on 2 tanks in the same room and could never get the flourescence from the T5's that I could get from URI VHO's.

Super PIMP tank!!!
Cant wait to see it stocked up!
Great rockwork, its full of great places for corals w/ lots of room for flow and fish.
Have you tried Giesmann T5 HO actinic + bulbs? I love mine thanks to whiskey.

I havn't tried the Giesmanns personally but have seen them on other tanks, I also havn't tried the bulbs made by URI that are suppose to be similar to their VHO's.
