Just ordered 75# of dryrock from Marcorocks ( http://www.marcorocks.com/) to get started. Probably pick up a little live rock from local reefers to get it going after the dry rock cures as well as pick out some more dry rock from some of the LFS to get the pieces I want.

I now have just about everything to start it up. Need to get a sump, just going to use a 100 gallon rubbermaid stock tank. The light I have right now is actually going to go on the frag tank but will work for now. It is a reef optix 3 pendant with a 250W Icecap ballast.

Do you have any pics? Have you used dry liverock in the past? How did it work out for you?
Thanks!

Whiskey, this was my other tank that was about 3/4 Marcorock. There are pics on his site of the actual roch, and it is the most porus rock I have ever seen.

I'm really itching to move out of the Gulf Coast area so that I can own a house with a basement. That project looks like a lot of fun. What are the dimensions of the tank going in the wall?
I also really like your old tank. Can't wait to see this one up and running.

Dimensions are 36"x36"x25". Basement is painted and ready to go, just need to put in the outlets and moulding. Pool table is being installed as we speak! This weekend I am hoping to seal the walls where the tank is located on the other side of the basement.
