First Reef Tank

Have been reading about reef tanks for a long time and am finally taking the plunge.

I have picked up a RR AGA 125 gal tank.

I have seen pictured of many tanks including in wall and coffee table styles, so the wife, a couple of friends and I came up witht the idea to build a tank into our bar. Once constuction gets underway, I will post lots of pics.

The plan for equipment is as follows (for now):

The tank will be plumbed to a sump in the basement.
The sump will be DIY, roughly 36"X24"X16" and will include a refugium section.
The lighting will DIY, 3 - 175W MH in the 14000K range, 6 - 65W PC Actinic, and somewhere between 12 - 21 lunar LEDs built into a custom hood.
In the basement with the sump will be a protein skimmer, auto top off system, DIY chiller and a Calcium reactor (not sure if I will buy or build this).
Live Rock and Live sand will be used.

Inhabitants have not been completely decided but it will be fish, inverts, and SPS corals.

Will post some diagrams of the setup once i get them on a more computer friendly media.

You're making me jealous... I wish I had a basement! Your ideas sound great, and I just finished a sump with similar dimensions (37x18x18). Maybe you've built one before, but let me know if you have any questions (and check out my thread in this forum). I've screwed up enough acrylic work to field a few inquiries! Good luck, and pictures are great!
