210 Fowlr

Well here goes. I already posted these last week but I will now put them here in order to keep track and get new ideas(for my next one). The idea is a 210 aga with twin overflows, FOWLR but able to convert to a reef whenever I get that itch.I`ll post apic of the tank when I got itand then some ideas I just ran away with.

Sump/fuge

I`ve decided to go with a 55 gal fuge and came up with a brilliant idea of using a 20 gallon sump made out of a pharm grade plastic, before the fuge and plummbed in a PM bullet 2 skimmer with a blue line 55.

yes they are for a closed loop. This is actually complete but I havent got pics yet. I just got out of work and now I am on shift for watching my daughter. I cant wait for to see it.
I used a dart 2 with the inlets in from the bottom and returning to the 2 center bulkheads(top and middle center). I left one hole open for a later project. I really only needed the 2 holes for return and I believe the 3rd was used for WC or something. I think I`m going to build a spray bar with another pump with this hole. Its kinda hard to tell but one bulk head is not in line with the rest.

its very hard to get behind this with a camera. If you look closely at one of the earlier pics with the skimmer you will see a white thing in the backround. This is the view of my washing machine from the hole I cut in my laundry room. My wife hasnt stopped shaking her head yet! This hole is a small door about 2 x 3and I am 6`4"....go figure.
Any way here are a couple more

So what I did was 2 1 inch bulkheads met a a 2" t and then into a 2" union ball valve then to the pump inlet. My return is basicly 1 1/2 " T`d off at the first 1 inch bulkhead then 90`d off at the top. In this pic you should be able to see the "xtra" bulkhead which I just valved off and I am thinking about making a spray bar with an inline pump of some sort. Gotta think about it a little more though

I actually had the plan and parts for the CL and went to town on it yesterday while watching footbal and enjoying a few beverages. I ended up filling it to see if it leaked and all was kinda ok. A small drip appeared but I think its ok now. Its been 24 hours and no drips

ok so now I needed to add acouple of holes(used 1`` bulkheads in the sump which dumps off into the fuge. Not the pretiest but I love the way it waS made to work. Also...I included a ball valve on each drain to control how much water goes into the sump and then where the water will go once it is skimmed. Im still not done with this but it is running with water now and I also picked up the rock

Ok...the tank is cycling with the majority of rock in it now. I need to make a few adjust, ents for the filter sock. I am actuall trying to make a box to house this in one side of the fuge so it does not float freely. well here comes a bunch of pics
