If you can post a Build thread that details the startup of the tank, and pictures of what you have done, since you did start the tank within the time the contest was going I am ok with you entering.

When is the actual deadline? I know it is on 2-1-07 is that 23:59 rolling over to 2-2-07 or is that the night before rolling over to 2-1-07?

I will probably lock down the fourm when I wake up on 2-2-07 but all this means is that there will be no more entries, all the build threads that are already started will continue!

So make sure you have started your thread, with at least your first post saying what you are going to do by 2-1-07!

If your thinking about joining then just start your thread now, make the first post with what your going to do, then there is no problem. If you don't actually start for 15 days or so it's no big deal. Heck my first update about a month after I started my thread was "I've done nothing!".

I would like to join the neon build off.

I would like to join the neon build off.

I had to tear down my 155 reef due to unseen circumstances.

I am only able to keep a small coral tank.

Well the tank is for my wife’s Toby puffer fish.

I guess my goal is to keep my wife’s Toby puffer in a Nano reef with out any coral loss.

The puffer will be the only fish, I might put one more in but I will see how he adapts.

I just bought a 29 gallon aqua pod with the PC light.

Also I had read that the white spotted Hawaiian Toby puffer is a loaner fish?

Is this correct?

Will he/she be happy in a 29?

I don't know anything about pufferfish, that's a question that is probably best posted in GRD, but we would love to have you join the build!

Will this tank have a sump? If it does it should be entered in the "Reef Buildoff", but if there is no sump then you come in right under the gallon limit for this contest.

Does 20 gal display + 20 gal sump < 1/2 full count, or do I need a 10 gal sump?

10 gallon sump. to equal out to 30. You are past deadline unless you already started the thread for it. I was hoping to join the build-off but didnt get around to it until yesterday. I am down with a TRT 1v1 nano buildoff if you are up for it though fish.freak Maybe we can get Greg to set up a 1v1 thread for us if you are interested.

Rules -
Starts today
Picture updates must happen at least once a week
June 9th - finale
judged by TRT user poll
winner gets bragging rights and a frag from the other persons tank

Greg let me know if this is kosher and fish.freak let me know if you are up for it.

I allready have a thread, thanks, but you should make your tank anyway.
I just wanted clarification if 30 was total tank & sump volume, or actual water volume.

nano build off

OK! I have a question...I read this the other day, and now see that several people have joined the contest, I didn't think I could cuz it was after the 1st...is it too late? I am building a 10g nano for my best friend for her B-day, I have the tank, the bulkhead, the dremel tool, just ned to buy the bit to drill the hole. I have also started ordering corals for it...

Just wondering, cuz it would be fun to be part of the contest, if not, I will probably start a thread about the progress...

Thanks!!
Marie

The deadline for entering the contest has already passed Sorry.

It would be great if you post a build thread in GRD or the Nano fourm so people can learn from what your doing
