update. didnt get much of a cycle due to the established lr i think, i ended up swapping some of the rock i bought with rock in my main tank. put a gsp rock, a 2spot damsel, and an astria snail.
i accidently nuked the gsp with joes juice, plunger got stuck when i was shooting a aptasia, so i pushed harder and it came shooting out all over the gsp, good thing its only gsp!!!

honestly i havent really been checking for anything other than ph and nitrates since it finished cycling. ph seems to be about 8.2 every time i check it. and havent found nitrates yet, but been doing big waterchanges to make up for not having a skimmer. i think s.g. will be my biggest problem as it doesnt take much evap to make a differance in a 2 gallon tank!! and yea i used to have a pretty big hermit in my other tank i was trying to get him to take that batman shell... he never did and i decided to get it out of the main tank, dont know if ill keep it in the nano or not.
