Hey now this is her tank so once i get the lights in you can see the pic of them if you want to see the pic of the ligths on my big tank click on my webstie link is in my sig then goto DIY stuff and you can see them

well some time this weekend it will get hooked up and running. Rigth now i keep looking at the ballast and caps and the hood on the tank and thinking how can i do this and still look nice.

Yeah a standard eclispe hood. As of right now the only thing that would look nice is a possible mount on the side of the hood. Let me hold up next to it and snap a pic.

I was thinking a small stainless steel bolt and nut to hold it up. As you can see in the one pic i would like to mount the ballast there in the other pic is the other side of the hood. There is nothing there so a bold and nut would work great there i think. On the wires that will run to the lights i am thinking about adding some kind of quick disconnects. Maybe not this weekend but sometime down the road take about 30 min total to install them the right way.

Your talking about bolting the balast to the side of the hood? Why not the back where it's less visable?

Anyway,.. I did that on my old eclipse hood,.. mounted the ballasts to the back of the plastic hood using a wood screw.
