Our New BioCube 14 - First Attempt at Salt Water

Hi All,

My 15 year old daughter has been asking for an aquarium for a couple years. Finally for Christmas she got her first one - a Bio Cube 14. It is now about 6 weeks old, I started it up in secret, hidden in one of the unused bedrooms about 10 days before Christmas so that she didn't have to wait too long before we put some critters in it.

We are very novice at this, but I trust the advice we get from our local Aquarium shop - so far it is going well. We are slowly adding in soft corals that are affordable and not too big. We are learning a lot. One thing I regret so far is that we purchased a Pseudochromis - the purple fish - from Petco without checking first to determine the temperament of this little fish. It is beautiful in color but is MEAN. We have seen it bump our two little clowns and it has pulled a hermit out of its shell. I'm going to try to get rid of it, but there is no way I can just net it, it easily hides under the rocks.

I think I'm going to try and trap it, by making a small bottle trap with some tasty food in it.

Anyone have any advice on how to remove an unwanted fish that hides under rocks from a reef tank?

I'll include the most recent image.

Oops wrong forum

I apologize for using the wrong forum for my question. I see now that although this is a new nano, it was started in Dec. of '06 so would not qualify for this forum.

Please disregard my previous posting.

I didn't see a way to remove it.
