reef build off 2009

I was part of the 08 unofficial buildoff. I recently started a small retail marine aquarium store and am re tooling my previous display for and in-shop setup ( a little more trick and automated now...). I will link to my build once I have one officially, but this is the FTS from it's first life (had to be shutdown as all my resources were directed to starting the store a lot of the stock has be redistributed and the equipment has been reused or sold off). Most of the liverock, stock, and the whole nine yards will be different this time.




too bad I ddn't let it grow out bc it was showing great promise. Hopefully my business thrives and I can leave it setup a few years this time.

i think we should have a poll thread to see how many people want to participate in an 09 or for next year a 2010 build off.

well lets get the 2010 one going but what about the people that maybe have picture of there tank that they started in 09 be elagable for the 2010 one. like me. since we really did not have an official contest this year?

i say the first sat in Jan. and it ends the next year. same date. what do you think?

well your supposed to start a new tank so its a even playing ground.

im going to take down my 10 gall tank and start all over with a new set up.

what about the guys who just dropped a few grand this year..... I just started up my 45 about a month ago.....whole halide setup all new rock tank everything is new. even a MP40 in the mail to me. ME=college student.......aka I cant do this every year.......this was an investment for my enjoyment.

ok so how many people want to start this month lets say next week?

how many people can start up a tank that quick or can you start this month at all?

i just took apart my 10g tank and want to start it up again. i personally would rather do a nano-build off. an put the 10g tank into the that competition than a regular build off. i cant put my 56gall in because its been up and running for a year.
