I think the main issue with a true reef build off is having enough people that are starting a tank in January for it to truly be a "contest". Its a lot easier/cheaper to set up a nano for a build off than to set up a large tank.

I think maybe we should plan for a 2010 build off. That way people can start planning ahead. Those who might be upgrading mid year, or contemplating would have real motivation to do so.

All my stuff died so I will be doing a build/rebuild this year as well.
Sounds like there may be enough people to get together a build competition.?

It will be at least two months before I can do anything with my 120. If its still open then I would be interested in one as well.

since all im doing right now is cycling rock, and want to redo my plumbing anyway. i would be more than willing to completely disassemble my tank to participate.

I am in for a small reef or a nano build.
I am getting an itchy saltwater palm.

Can anyone get thing going??
Nano 2009??
Reef 2009??

Perhaps a Mod should start a new thread and see how many people sign up ?

Just a thought.....

Cheers, Benzzz

I would love to be in; however, would have to set the tank up at someone else's house without my wife knowing about it.
