New to Milwaukie SMS122US PH Controller

I have built several Calicum Reactors for members of PNWMAS and decided it's was time that I ran one, too.

Got a (what I think) great deal on the Milwaukee SMS122US PH controller. Never used one of these things, what do I set for the low and high on the controller? After I calibrate it.

Thought about getting a ReefKeeper Lite for $99 but then I would really need the Elite and not ready to plunk down $500 yet.

Slightly confused by your post because there is no high/low point setting on the SMS122. You set the ph reading with the dial that you want the relay to activate at. When the PH goes above that setting, the relay clicks on. When it goes below the setting, it kicks off. There is only one setpoint and the exact number will vary depending on the media you are using and the numbers you are trying to achieve.

Agreed, it really depends on the media. You can run the pH lower for the larger media (like the Korallin media), and not quite as low with the smaller media. I keep my pH in my reactor (small media) at 6.4 off and 6.45 on for the CO2, but I use a AC Jr to control it for me
