how to program a custom sea life temp controller- I need some help

I was given a custom sealife temp controller but I do not have the directions. There are two modes C1 and H1. I cannot figure out which mode to use for my chiller.

Thanks
-Steve

well I have come to terms with the fact that it is not working. It will turn the chiller off but not on. It also says the water temp is a few degrees higher than my mercury thermometer I am now using a timer to turn the chiller on for 30 min and off for 30 min until I buy a new controller

Thanks for the reply

What does the controller look like?
How high is the temp getting above your setpoint. The Ranco controllers have a differential setting that adjusts the range. I always set them at 1 so it would turn on at 1 degree above the set point.
Oh and most aquarium thermometers are wrong

its grey, has a small LCD screen for the temp and is rectangular. It has 3 buttons, two are arrows (up and down) and the 3rd is like a menu button. It says www.custonsealife.com at the bottom. Are these controllers known to break? The temp gets 1 degree above setpoint.

Another question is about the chiller. I have an 180g tank with two 250 mh and one 400 mh all on tar style ballasts (PFO) I have 3 seios two of them are 1500's and the other is an 1100. My return is a mag 36 and I use a mag7 for my skimmer. The chiller that I am looking at buying is a 1/4 hp. Right now it keeps the tank at 78-79 degrees with the AC on and 2 canopy fans w/o the chiller it gets up to 83 degrees. I know a 1/4 hp chiller isnt the best for a 180 but it seems to be working. I have it on a timer to turn on and off every 30 min. Is that bad for the compressor to turn on/off so often? Also I am getting rid of my 250's and replacing them with 400's in a few weeks. What should I Do?

If its like this:

Then they just put their sticker on a Ranco
The way they work if you have the differential set at 1 then it will turn on at 1 degree above the set point and off at the set point.
Heres the programming instructions for a Ranco:
