Well, what do you want the controller to do? The entry-level models will do all the basics; timers, temperature and pH displays. If you want to expand things, it's simply a matter of paying more. Adding more timers, adding more parameters to monitor/control (orp, O2, conductivity, another pH, etc.), adding internet connectivity. So it kind of depends on what you really hope to do. I have the AquaController 3, and it's great, but there are cheaper units and other brands.

If your looking for total tank control. Then go with a Aquacontroller 3, Reefkeeper elite or the new Apex.

If your looking for a entry level cheaper controller go with the reef keeper lite it aquacontroller Jr.

Sounds like I will be going with the Aquacontroller 3!! I would rather have more along the lines of top of the line than settling half-assed, if you know what i mean. I want total control and internet capabilities!! Thanks alot guys any other suggestions about the new tank will help me out a whole lot!
