Salifert test kit troubles

I heard that Salifert is having problems with the Magnesium test kits. Does anyone have anything further on this like the date codes that would apply and are they having problems with any other test kits at this time? I always use Salifert and have never had any tank issues and most of my kits are older. I heard it was the newer ones with the troubles.
