93 gallon build, reactor or dosing?

I'm just getting started, this is my first reef tank. I see a few folks (it looks like mostly larger tanks) have switched from dosing to reactors. I know pretty much nothing about either.

So my question is simple, if I'm building a 93 gallon reef system from scratch should I go ahead and start out with a reactor(s), or should I start out with dosing? What are the advantages and disadvantages of each?
