hang on...I don't have a sump. I'm not sure what type of spending limit I've got. I have the money, but money and I don't like to separate much. I'll most likely buy what I think is the best value.

Go for quality. Bottom line, if you dont youll be spnding money on a second skimmer. No value there! Skimmers are one area that you should never skimp on. I speak as one has several skimmers in the garage...collecting dust. Lots of people say Ill just get this one cause the price is right, then they are asking which real skimmer to get!

just looking for all the other people's opinion. I've seen your responses on other threads and am confident you know your stuff. I was just looking for a collective opinion which in a lot of cases is closest to correct. Thanks for all the help.

No sweat , Just didnt want to bounce all over! Alot of the posts from others about the hang ons are great as they have them. Ive had in sump models. I would be interested to see what Andy says about when his will be ready. His craftsmanship is awesome! But as the others said, The Remoras and Aqua C's are very well liked!

My vote is for the AquaC Remora Pro with Mag 3. Its what I got and I pull two collection cups a day with it. Not bad on price either for value.

The new Tunze skimmers - 9005/9010 can be either in tank or in sump. I just got my 9010 last week and have read a lot of very positive comments on them before I purchased mine.
