skimmers putting out lots of water

I have two aqua c remora skimmers going since thursday of last week. The last three days they have been putting out a couple gallons of water a day. Is this going to subside? Is there anything I should adjust for better results?

You do anything to the tank or house lately? Some medications and even the off-gassing of household products (my experience is with latex paints) can make skimmers do this. It usually subsides after a few days or a few good water changes.

Are these new skimmers or are you suddenly experiencing a change in skimmate? Are you testing your salinity levels? if you lose some through evap (FW loss) and some through wet skimming (SW loss) you must watch how much of each you are adding.

Did I ever tell you about the time Brasky went hunting? Well anyway, Brasky decides he's gonna hunt down all four members of the Banana Splits. He stalks and kills every one of them with a machete. They all beg for their lives, except Fleagul.

The skimmers and tank are new. I added sand last night, and I have been digging around the tank daily rearranging rock and adjusting my powerheads. They did change my salinty from 1.025 to 1.023 I had to adjust it this morning. The skimmmers have been pretty wet since I started but now they seem to be pulling more and more water out of my tank.
