Welcome to TRT! If the skimmer is new it probably just needs to break in a bit more. The materials generally have manufacturing residue on them and the kimer also needs to build up a slime coat. Be patient.
As fr as rushing the maturing af a new tank there is no good way. There is a saying, "nothing good happens fast in a reef tank". Trying to hurry a tank along is a big mistake. There are a few products that say they will do that but they are generally a waste of money. Trying to rush the process is isking for trouble. There is a series of biological steps that have to take place. Are you testing the tank parameters? Ammonia? Nitrate? Nitrite? These are key in gauging the progress of a new tank. Don't take short cuts. You will be looking at a waste of time and money by doing so.

Welcome to TRT! That skimmer isn't any good and what do you mean 10K of live rock?I know you don't mean 10K lbs of rock.

True, that is not a skimmer that comes highly recommended.
