What will I need for a 180g? How does it work, as far as hook it up to the tank, or do you treat water seperate and add it to the tank? Stupid question I know, but I'm not sure, never seen it...

the brand is generally irrelevant, as they all function the same (assuming good filters) A 4-stage should be sufficient (don't go anything less) so thats prefilter, carbon filter, RO membrane, then DI resin. How often you replace the filters really depends on your tap water - so, ensure its comes with a TDS meter so you can measure dissolved solids before and after. for a 180 gallon you'll be getting a fair bit of evaporation each day (at a guess around 5-15 litres daily - depending on your lighting setup and ambient room temperature) so make sure the one you get a unit that can produce enough water daily. personally i've got a 200 litre drum that i fill up with RODI water once every 6-8 weeks and top up with kalkwasser then dose that at night.

I like purewaterclub. Check the connections under pressure while watching it, some folks have had blowouts. But you get a 75 or 150 gpd unit they have a 98% rejection rate membrane. A 6 stage 150 gpd was 100 bucks shipped, no complaints

That is w/o the TDS meter though..
