msx 250 skimmer

i have a 55 gallon tank and a 30 gallon refugium and a 40 gallon sump. i plan on upgrading to a 125 gallon tank in a year or so. do you think this msx250 will be to much skimmer for my setup now. my tank is lightly stocked and i have like 75lb of live rock.

That's probably a bit too large for your tank, but since you are upgrading, does it really matter
