Micron filters

I ran a micron filter for a few days to clear up my tank after i put some sand on the bottom. The instruction that came with the filter say after use to clean with 4 parts water and one part bleach. Should i do this or should i just soak it with strait water??

I used to throw mine in the washing machine for two cycles. One with bleach and one with just water.
