An LFS here has one. It seems to do well but the amount of bubbles has never been all that much compared to other skimmers I have seen/had. Venturi skimmers by nature are easy to set and maintain. The lifereef I have seen wasnt full of bubbles. If you look, where the pipe comes into the skimmer, it empties into a smaller tube in the main chamber. The bubble mix is therefore confined to a small portion of the skimmer volume. Plus the bubbles go straight up to the neck of the cup. Doesnt seem like much contact time with the tank water. But, as I said, the one at the LFS seems to pull alot of gunk. Hopefully someone will chime in who has one.
