LF1 Series Berlin Filter Systems

I was just wondering if Life Reef makes good equiptment? I am planning on starting a 72gal bowfront and i was wondering if the LF1 Series Berlin Filter Systems would be a good choice for my sump and skimmer. It looks a little exspensive! But this tank will be going in my formal living room so my wife says that it should look as good as it works. Well lets face it she's the boss

Thanks,
Corey

Not familiar with it. BUT, before you go spend a ton on a fancy set up, consider this. The skimmer and live rock are the filter for a reef. If the unit you are talking about has bio-balls, and all sorts of bells and whisles, youll be spending money on stuff you dont need and could even cause nitrate problems (bio-balls). Spending that money on the absolute best skimmer you can and getting simple sump to put the equipment in is you best bet. That nice looking filter set up wont look that good if your tank isnt healthy.

Here is the link the picture shows 3 canisters in the sump for chemical media, but they are optional and i wont be purchasing these. Does the skimmer that comes with this sound like a decent skimmer or would i be better off going with a euro-reef since they cost about the same
