HELP!! With plumbing

Ok, against the good advice of everyone, I did go with the CPR CY194 cyclone biofilter with Venturi skimmer. Now I am not here to listen to what junk I bought! It works for me because it is more simple. Well not exactly. It goes on a reef ready AGA but I am quite sure it is missing some parts! I cannot figure out how to connect everything. I am using a Mag 9.5 submersible pump. Any suggestions? The directions absolutely stink!

To the rescue! Kelli. I sent pics to Geoff but they are on my other computer. I will see if I can find. There is no PVC at all.

You need bulkheads for the holes in the bottom of the tank. Then the easyest way is to get flexable tubeing that can run from those bulkheads to the input on the sump (this is in the skimmer compartment, it has a little tube holder in the corner there).

Then you get the mag 9.5, hook it up to some flexable hose, run this either up and over the back of the tank (my preferred method) or run it through the return line, over the overflow and into the main tank.

So the first method for return pump is external and the second is internal? Or both internal? Where does the return flow on that unit?

These are just 2 different methods of getting water back into the tank,.. One the pipe runs up the back of the tank and puts water in, the other the pipe goes through a return hole. In both cases I'm immagining the pump inside the sump for symplicity.

You could do it that way too It's just more complex than using flexable tubing. You will need a MPT to Nipple fitting to connect the rubber hose to the bulkhead, but past that the rubber hose can run straight into the sump.
