HELP! My protien skimmer keeps flooding my cabinet.

I need serious help. I have a venturi protien skimmer. Twice now it has been running and has wound up overflowing the container that I have set up for the waste. Right now I have a gallon orange juice container that sits in the cabinet under the tank. Both times I had the skimmer running with the bubbles barely reaching the top of the skimmer and stable for several hours. Then out of nowhere it starts running straight water out the waste area. Not sure what I am doing wrong or why it is doing this. Today when it overflowed, the skimmer was barely above the water mark on the skimmer for about 3 hours. Decided to ignore it and watch football. Then next thing I know my GFI circuit flipped because there was about 5 inches of water in the cabinet under my tank. Because of these issues, I have been afraid to turn my skimmer on and have only run it a few times in the 3.5 months that I have had the tank up and running. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Unknown Model

I do not know the model. I got it with the tank off of Craigslist, but it does not have any identifying information on it. It is similar to this one @ marinedepot:

http://www.marinedepot.com/Precision...PSISBF-vi.html

It looks like it is a generic version, but has the same basic setup. The pump runs from high to low with a air intake valve. It has a return pipe coming out of the bottom and runs back to the sump.

Sorry I can't be more specific.
