e Bay overflow box
Anyone ever try this overflow box I found on fleaBay?!? It seems like a decent design and it comes with a pump(cheap one) for pulling the air out, for $45 with shipping. If I had the time I would make the one on Melevsreef.com.
Any thoughts?!?

I have the CPR one lilke this. It is very good...haven't had any real issues except for when my aqualifter pump got clogged up a bit and the suction was very weak. The issue I think with something like this is the acrylic is very thin. I was going to buy one of these, but I was afraid of the thin acrylic. I ended up buying a CPR on e-bay (but it was a second - had a small cosmetic flaw) for about $69.00 (they usually sell for about $90) and it came with the aqualifter. Try typing in CPR and see what you come up with on e-bay.
Hope that helps.

Thanks for the suggestions, I guess the CPR is the way to go. Not to badly priced if you can find a used one.

I have a CPR CS100 and used a larger power head in the tank with a line connected to the venti system and the other end conneted to the CPR. Then plug the power head and the return pump to the same powerstrip. Now if your power goes out or you trip the fuse your pump and overflow turn off and on togeather. Inturn not spilling water all over your floor.

Poor water on your floor and get the damage done now
The C channel overflows are junk! It's only a matter of time before you lose siphon, drain your sump, put water all over the floor and maybe smoke a pump.
Any U-Tube overflow is way more reliable than a c chanel and you can get them used for about the same price.

Talon, I had one of those ebay overflows. DO NOT GET IT!!! It doesnt work like it says. It doesnt keep the air out of the siphon chamber, it does grow algea in the siphon and you cant clean it. DONT GET IT!!!

Any overflow needing a pump is a flood waiting to happen. I wouldnt get it, they just arent that good and really are junk.
