Put it in a 18G Tote (walmart) and run it in a 1:1 vinegar solution. The entire skimmer. Remove the lid from the collection cup and set the water level to overflow the cup so that the entire skimmer gets a bath. Remove the airline so that it pulls water through the venturi hole and cleans it.
But, what size tank is it on? I had a 220 on my 90 and after a few weeks it simply stopped producing (much like what you are describing) but it wasn't anything wrong with the skimmer, the tank simply didn't have enough bioload to produce skimmate for me. I ended up dosing the tank to get it to produce. Now, its on a 75 and at the moment its skimming like crazy (the tank was skimmerless for almost 6 months) but in a few months I expect the skimmate production to drop off again.
