bubbles in tank

Ok the owner of the LFS told me that the skimmer should not put out bubbles into the tank or very little anyway, I just bought it and is the first skimmer i have ever used, I have adjusted and adjusted but it still puts out so many bubbles into the tank that it looks cloudy from it alot of times, is there something i am overlooking in adjustments all i know is the valve to the pump and the one on top that sets the macro bubble hight in the throat of the skimmer.... I see everyones tanks here and dont see the bubbles i see in mine...the only way it stops spitting them out is if i take my finger and cover the hole on the top of the return line into the tank cup. but i dont think that is suppose to be covered at any time....

it takes a couple of days for skimmers to break in. HOB skimmers are very difficult to keep from releasing bubbles into the display.

Are you using any slime coat agents in your tank? If so, you will need it to get used up before the bubbles will go away.
