Everyone was telling the pump into the skimmer should be 1/4 of your return pump. After all you are trying to skim the same water more and not more water.

$339 are 1 HECK OF A DEAL you got there.

Use some gutter gaurd mesh from a home improvement store to cover the over flow to keep debris out. Youre best to plumb the drain into the skimmer. If you spend the money on the skimmer it makes sense to make it work to its potential, not utilize only pat of it.

diagram 1

1/4 of my return pump? the mag24 is 2400gph..so the 3rd pump to feed the skimmer should be at least a 600gph pump?..heres is also a diagram i drew..if i went from the over flow with the mesh...how should i hook it up to my system?....you can copy my diagram and make the changes to show me then re post it in this thread....thank you everyone for your help

Use a T on 1 of your overflow and run 1 line to the Skimmer. Also reduce the line to fix into your skimmer.

ONE OF THE 2 OVERFLOW LINES THAT I HAVE IS a lil more powerfull in water flow.. should i t that one?..i still worried about large degree going in to my skimmer..shoudnt i just skim the water after the berlin bags?..like i said be4, i sometimes find half of silversides in my berlin bags..what would happen if i silverside got caught in my skimmer?

You still need to run a T with an elevated run above the skimmer so that excess can go to the sump rather than causing surging inside the skimmer body. There seem to be a lot of people just plumbing it off the overflows lately not realizing that the slight surging from things like wave makers can really make for an inefficient skimmer...
