a quiet hob skimmer?

I am trying to figure out what to do for skimming in my 72 gallon bowfront. I am running an HOB refugium that's probably ~5 gallons, and I have probably over 100 pounds of rock, and a UV sterilizer (i think 25 watt).
I am considering a tunze 9005... possibly an octopus 800s, or maybe even try to make my own. However, it is very important to me that the skimmer is quiet.

Suggestions?

I had a Remora Aqua C pro that was noise,bought a Coralife not only quiet(I sleep 3' away from it)but it work so much better then the remora.I here the Oct. are great but don;t know 1st hand or if quiet?

Octopus BH-800s. It is simply the best available at the fairest price. Or the MSX HOT1

I got it at a LFS from where I trade frags for!But see if anybody says Oct are quiet!Because I here their better just no one totally answering you so maybe there not quiet!

There's a tradeoff on skimmer performance and quietness. The more air a skimmer pulls the more air noise you are going to have (for the most part). The amount of air a skimmer pulls basically determines it's effectiveness.

Well my skimmer didn't change when I added tube on my silencer?

The silencer won't change performance.. Octo's come with silencers as well
