Powerhead Help - Koralia

Hey guys,

I have a 75 gallon RR tank with a 20 gallon sump. I NEED more flow as i have SPS and LPS and some softies. I have been putting this off for a while and i have heard the more flow the better (at least more than i have now) currently i have a Koralia 1 on the back right corner blowing diagnolley toward the front. I have a maxi jet 500 in the back middle at the bottom blowing to the right and an aqua clear 50 (402) at the top right hanging on blowing to the left. I know i need alot more flow. Oh i also have a RIO 2500 for my return and a small pump in my refugium. I was going to buy some koralias since tunzes are a little too expensive for me right now. I couldnt figure out if i should get a Koralia 4 or 2 #3's or what. The #4s are about 5 more $$ than the #3's. What should i get???

I would get the 4's without any doubt. Because of the wide pattern of flow they put out, they don't have a major blasting effect that you've come to expect from your other powerheads. This is better for your corals, but it is much less impressive looking then being able to spray water all the way across the room lol.

I like the 3's because of the size, they are a little smaller than the 4's. I have 3 3's in my 75 along w/ a mj 1200.

Koralias for a 30 gallon reef

Hello. I was wondering about adequate water flow for a small 30 gallon reef tank. Currently I have the Koralia 1 in the lower corner of my tank aimed at lower lying corals. I also have a penguin 500(??) power head hanging on rim of tank with the flow adjuster shooting down on my corals towards the top. Do you think that's sufficient? Its a new tank and I would like to add more coral. I can see them waving back and forth, but wondered if the penguin would be better suited at the bottom.

I've got 2 4's and 2 2's in my 75. The thing you need to take into consideration the #4's really only put water out of 2 hold efficiently so you need to use the deflectors or know where you want the 2 main jets to end up.

What is the best place to put 4, 4s in a 90 if you put them on a red sea controller?

I have 2 MJ 1200 and 2 Koralia 4s for a 90. I have them hooked to a Red Sea controller. How should I place the powerheads in the 90 if I am looking to grow SPS?
Thanks

I have a Rio 1400 I think in the bottom back corner of my 55... BB tank... I bought a Koralia 2...NOT ALOT OF FLOW!!! I bought 2 1300GPH wave makers off ebay... Seem to work really good... They don't blow straight out... Kind of in 4 different directions maybe because they have the 4 cross hair looking deflector type things on the end... I don't know... I'm pretty happy with them but if you put them or corals in the right place... It will blast them...
