of pigeons and anemones

Has anyone ever seen the little spike strips they put on ledges to keep birds from nesting there? Could you rig something like that around the back of a Koralia so that it did not disrupt the flow but kept a nem from wondering into it's doom? Or is this a bonkers idea?

Use plastic gutterguard to build an enclosure around the Korallia. Won't be pretty but it will keep an anemone from getting shredded.
