I like the iwaki better, it was a little bit more, but I think it was worth it. It seems like a really nice pump.

We actually stock little giant pumps at my work and I am able to order them direct, but I passed it up for the iwaki. I heard more good things about the iwaki and I have heard the little giants may be noisy.

I think they are a little power hungry for what they are. Never really even considered them for any of my builds.

Mag

After doing some other research and talking to some more people, I think I won't be going with it. Everybody says that they are too loud.

I think I'm going to try and get a Mag, They get a good review from people and are a great price. 1200+ GPH for under $200 wow
Not that I need that much power (would need to ball valve everything!!) LOL but they come in a lot of model and even cheaper.
what do you guys think?

Kind of going from one noise maker to another. I'm not a mag pump fan... Another hot running, noisy pump For some reason people like them and I can't knock that.

Personally I like Eheim and Ocean runner for in-sump and Pan World, Iwaki and Sequence for external. This is just from years of playing with different pumps.

well on my 45 I'm doing a budget build, and those pumps are not budget friendly!! LOL but will keep an Eye out for a good deal.

You going to run the 12 as a return? That is a lot of pump for a return! The mag 5 would probably be a tad much... And the ocean runner pumps are pretty reasonable and run at less wattage than the eheims... But me and my eheims are like the NRA... You'll have to pry them out of my cold, dead hands

oh no too much pump for my needs, but if I get a deal on one then I'll just have to ball and T it.
will look into those pumps too. Eheims don't seem that bad in price for my needs. Have to look into Ocean Runners.
thanks
