Hydor Koralia Nanos not enough

Ok, these Koralia nanos I just got really stink imo . Maybe it's me but they definitely aren't what I'm used to. They say 240ghp but I don't see where. You can barely feel the water a couple inches in front of the head. I don't see how they will create much current across a tank. I guess I may have to try a Koralia 1.

I guess this is learning .

don't know what size tank you're working with, I just ordered a pair of Koralia 4's for my 100 gal. Heard they were big and ugly and usually don't last much more than a year, but the price was right...

Good thing I didn't skimp with the nano's, lol, that would have been a disappointment in my tank. I appreciate the info!

They are going into a 30G tank. Like I said I guess I'm just used to powerheads. At least with those you can feel the water coming out of the nozzles. These nanos you can feel the waterflow to about 1 inch away. It just seems too diffused for me.

Got my Koralia 4's, if you aim them right you will have a tornado in the tank... lol

I finally figured how to aim them without making the water flow too violent, the anemone is back out and looks happy, they are definitely plenty for my 100 gal tank.

Well an 30g is borderline nano those pumps were reallt intended for 10,15 and maybe 20g.

I put a K1 in my 30 FWIW.

You cannot feel it because its such a wide stream. the K1 I have has the corals swaying all over... If you want a "jet" of water buy a maxijet.

I have a 29 and used 2 Koralia nano's to get the flow right. The last post was correct, imo, it's a real wide stream. If I don't set them just right the corals all get very unhappy because of too much current.

I think the nanos were just on the edge of small for my tank. I picked up a Koralia 1 today and the flow seems much better.
