they do work, but they are not vey reliable. they tend to clog in SW. they also restrict the total flow of the PH.

So I bought two of these just to see. I love-em! I put them on my two returns into my 120 and they are sweet! Now I am going to split my returns into four and add two more and remove two PHs. You can't go wrong for ten bucks and if they jamb after a couple months and you can't clean them, big deal they only cost ten bucks. I can buy 15 of these for the cost of a wavemaker and I still need PH's and more electricity. So that is my review for what it is worth.....

The problem I had with them is that over time they begin to get loose in the PH and won't stay installed. New ones will not fit afterwards.

I have had one for over a year now without any problems. I think the key is not to take them apart if you don't have to. I clean mine by running the thing, pump and all, in vinegar and water. The people have the most trouble with them are the ones who take the whole thing apart to clean it frequently. They are cheap and seem to stretch out if taken apart to often.
