Help! Noisy pump.

I bought a return pump for my sump so i could finaly get water circulating and start my cycling process. I was realy excited, so i got everything in place, i double checked everything and turned it all on.
Now i swear that someone switched mw lovely new pump for a diesel engine cos i can't hear myself think right now, NOT HAPPY.
To make things worse the company that i bought the pump from has now ceased trading so i can't even return it.

Any suggestions for a return pump that is quiet. i need between 3000 and 3500 litres per hour to go through the sump with a 5ft head. So anything from a 4000 to 6000 litre per hour rating should suit. Thanks.

What make is it?Sounds like it's airbound.

Check the impeller and make sure there is not a broke off fin the there or a missing fin.

Was it new? or used?

I originaly ordered a Aquabee UP5000 but was sent a Aquabee UP6000 as a free upgrade cos they had none of the UP5000 in stock.

I have checked the whole pump for damage, air, etc.. but it seems to just be noisy.

Considering purchasing 2 x Eheim 1260 to replace it as i hear they are quiet (no pun intended).

Just spotted a Lifeguard quiet one 4000hh on the featured ads. Are they any good and are they available in the UK?
