Harbor Freight Pumps

Anybody else using HF sub pumps?

I've been using a 190gph unit on my GFO reactor for 1.5 years. I'm thinking about upping my return pump and the 1260GPH pump may be just what the doctor ordered, says they use ceramic shafts too. Comes with a flow control valve to boot, not bad for $45.

Ceramic shaft is a good thing. Rusty metals shafts are a common downside to cheap pond pumps. My next concern would be to find out if it is oil filled? Anyone who has had an old Rio pump meltdown in their tank can testify to how bad this can be. The only other issue I would have is, what to do with 19ft of powercord?

The little pump I have is a mag drive, I'm guessing the big one will be too.
