Is Tek Lighting the best T 5 fixture or aqua medic not worried about price just want the best unit

i have more good things about the Tek's, but i do not have any personal experience with either.

the tek lighting reflectors are one of the most effecient that is of course behind the ice cap ones

tde123, I have the 8bulb TEK lighting and I can say it is well worth the 500.00.

Tek's are suppose to be really good but Ice Caps reflectors put more light in the tank. I've seen both in person and you can really tell the difference. That's why I got a Tek kit and replace the reflectors for Ice Caps, just my 2 cents...

I've been using a few tek hoods over ~ 3 years. I have been happy with the units.
