sump light


is there any special light for the sump or can I use one of those regular hood lights?

I use a shop light spotlight it has clamp on one end that i fasten to my sump and i boutgt a grow light from home depot as well. everything about 15 bucks. but u can go fancy if you want but if its under the tank and you cant see it i wouldnt

i like using the Lights of America compact flourescents that are sold at Home Depot. they are 6.5K so they are great for growing algae. they also come in all kinds of wattages.
