It is quite likely you are right. With out seeing 1 set up with 2 tanks the only difference 1 with MH one with T-5... and some one actually not futsing with it for over a year... we will never know.
But, that would be like the owl not bitting into the Tootsie pop, lol.

I'm going to be doing a few frags in 2 different systems (frags of the same mother colony). 1 with T-5 yada yada and one with 400k MH. But, it will still be anecdotal because of obvious lack of control

Now mind me these are not scientific at all but I have run then twice and had the same results but only kept the numbers once.

Here are the changes in PAR with out fan 495 with fan directly pointed at bulb 610. That is a gain of about 23%. (this # can vary where ever you put your par meter but results still increase like this). Wattage useage done with a watt meter. Without fan 222W with fan 232W that is an increase of 4.5%. Seems the increase of PAR for wattage % is huge.

Now even if you take say a 4 watt fan (I believe this is what mine was) and add that to your wattage increase that still only gives me a 6.3% increase in wattage.
More info. this was done with URI bulbs and a Ballastwise ballast as to not over drive them like an ICECAP would.

Just putting this out there for information and also wondering if anyone else has checked these ratings and what your stats are?
