MH's for 46 bow?

What would work on a 46 gallow bow so I could grow anything?

36" wide tanks are a bit of a dilema. since you said anything than i would suggest 2 250w MH's. mainly because the tank is just over 20" deep. a bit deep. for 175's. if it were 18" deep than a couple of 175's would work just fine.

if you were going with a BB system than the 175's would be plenty. you could keep everything you wanted. if you are going to be going with a system that has sand in it than i would suggest going with the 250's. that way you would be guaranteed to keep anything you wanted. you prolly could get away with the 175's, but the colour on some of the corals may be a bit browner than if they were 250's.

even with 175's you would be able to keep clams. some just may need to be up high on the LR instead of on the bottom of the tank.

I would agree. 250MH would be best but you can get away with 175MH if needed. Then I modify the lights that came with your tank so that one was on eigther side of the MH and they would actinics to even out the color spectrum.
