Lighting questions on my tank

ok at the present time i have a 12 gallon jbj with 32 watts, and have had no problems keeping my corals happy, zoas, mushrooms, gsp, xeina, and a hammer that is takeing over my tank from growth, but i just ordered a 24 gallon aquapod from Dr. fosters and it has 64 watts of lighting, is this enough lighting for most corals - clams and hard corals? Most every body i see are useing Mh but i was scared to bake my corals or heat my tank to much so i went with the power compacts. Mistake or no. Thank you in advance.

how deep is the 24g aquapod? if it is less than 12" deep than the 64w should be fine. between 12" and 18" you may need to adjust the corals height in the water column for the amount of light they need, but you should be successfull.

are you planning BB or SB? the more sand you add the stronger the lighting needs to be to keep corals happy.

the 24 gal. aquapod comes with 2 different lighting options. power compacts in an enclosed hood or an HQI system with actinic led's. The HQI lighting system doesnt come in an enclosed hood due to overheating problems. The p/c lighting is good for softies a lps corals but not enough for sps corals. DO NOT BUY the tiny current usa skimmer that is designed to fit inside the aquapad....it's absolute garbage.
