Lighting Options??

I'm setting up a 29g reef. The tank is 30x12x18. The only 30" units I can find are these two.
http://www.marineandreef.com/shoppro/metal_SunPod.htm
http://www.marineandreef.com/shoppro/power_Orbit.html

I'm probably not going to do any sps due to tank size, but I would like to get an anemone for a clownfish.

Will the sunpod be ok to stimulate day/night cycles, and be enough light?
Is the Orbit completely out of the question for enough light??

Is there a better option?

the wattage is fine for the tank, you might look at a hanging pendant instead. PFO makes a good priced one.

I'm assuming a single 150/175 or 250w pendant would give me complete coverage?

edit.............not if a single MH will only cover 2'x2'.

i would do a single 175w. it will give good coverage in the tank and you will just have some dimmer spots on the sides for soft corals. Any more MH would burn the tank a little more than you will probably want.

I would suggest a few 24 inch t5 ho lights staggered in a hood. If you had 4 24 watters, you would have enough light for what you want to have in there. 2 Actinic and 2 Day light bulbs would be the perfect combination. On top of all that you would more than likely be able to do it for cheaper than running MH lights
