Lighting ... How Long?

Here is the setup ...
40g "reef attempt"
(2) 96w PC 50/50

So far, I have been running the lighting system as follows:

10am Light 1 - on
3pm Light 2 - on
7pm Light 1 - off
11pm Light 2 - off
12:30am LED Moonlight on
4am LED Moonlight off

This means a total of 13hrs total light duration.
5hrs @ 96w
4hrs @ 192w (total)
4hrs @ 96w
1hr darkness
3.5hrs moonlight

Is this acceptable?

I've been doing something very similar since June with good results. Looks Good!

I run mine on this schedule:

10:15 AM – Actinics ON
Noon – Left MH ON
2 PM – Middle MH ON
4 PM – Right MH ON
6 PM – Left MH OFF
8 PM – Middle MH OFF
10 PM – Right MH OFF
10:15 PM – Actinics OFF
10:15 PM – Lunar Lights ON
2 AM – Lunar Lights OFF

Timer Programming
Actinics – 10:15 AM to 10:15 PM
MH Left – 12 PM to 6 PM
MH Middle – 2 PM to 8 PM
MH Right – 4 PM to 10 PM
Lunar LEDs – 10:15 PM to 2 AM

i have my actinics come on half an hour before my first MH. than my second MH comes on a half an hour after that. the process is reversed 8 hours later.

moonlights are useless.
