LED recommendation for 29 gallon

Hey I have been looking to upgrade my 4 bulb T5 fixture to an LED setup. My tank is 30"x12"x18" I am seriously considering an Ecoray 120d for my tank because a friend has had great success with them on his tanks. Would this light be too powerful for my tank? Should I consider the 60d instead and will it provide significant spread to light my entire tank?

How far from water line were you planning to install? How much you want to spend? I have AI blues and they have great spread, but need to be at least 10" or higher from water line. I can't get but 6", so needed to go with 4 units or my 90.

I am trying to spend less than $500. I could potentially hang them as far from the water line as I wanted because I planned on hanging the ecoray as well. Are the AI sol powerful enough to support SPS corals?

From AI web site.

"Growth

This is the reason you started the tank in the first place, to see your corals grow and flourish in a pristine environment. The AI Sol has a proven track record since it was first introduced in 2007 and users continue to see phenomenal growth. LPS and SPS all flourish under the precision lighting environment."

I run mine at no more than 36% and my tank is 24" deep. You might be able to get away with one light.

I would wait on the Vega. Eeryone that I know who frequents trade shows says that it really does not out perform the Sol. Just cost more.
