the new light will be enough for mushrooms and such IMO. Are you adding the 2 light systems togethor? do the T5s have individual reflectors?

Yeah... i am gonna put the lights together 90 + 336 = 426 watts but i thought the blue lights just give out ocean looks in the tanks... is it help with the light in the tank... yes it has individual reflectors

the actinics (blues) put out some PAR (photosynthetically available radaition if I remember right.... usable light basically) but they put out a lot less than the 10000K bulbs. W/o any actinics some corals may not look right. It brings out the colors. If you were running a deep tank w/ deep water corals they are adapted to process the blue wavelengths that penetrate deeper. I think if you have 8 56watt bulbs w/ individual reflectors you will have plenty of light for most specimens.

6x54 will be more than enough...as far as bulb choices, I would look on RC and ask GrimReefer what he would suggest for best color and PAR and follow his recommendations. He is a genius when it comes to T5's

I think it will be difficult to physically fit 8 bulbs over a tank that size. Really 6 bulbs are more than enough for pretty much anything in a tank that size.

Does your new light have individual reflectors? This along with some ballast differences could be the deciding factor on what you keep and where

Yep. Just a recommendation for the future. Ask here before you buy anything. And for another small word of advice.. eBay lighting is not the best in the world. There are 2 main places in this hobby where you don't want to skimp... your lighting and your skimmer.

Mushrooms and leathers should not have any problems under that lighting, even if it does not have individual reflectors.
