Current Sunpod 48" 250 Watt in Canopy

I am thinking about buying this MH light. The two vents are at the end. If I were to cut holes in the canopy or install louver vents at the end of the canopy do you think this will provide enough ventilations??

How high above the glass top should I install the light?

The rear of the canopy is open also for ventilation.

Or do you think it will be too hot??

My wife prefers to have a canopy on the tank

I think you will be fine. In the vents at the end of the canopy that you plan on implementing, add a couple fans blowing out to pull heat out of the canopy
