26 gallon bowfront lighting upgrade help

Hi-
I have a 26 gallon bow front. We got it as a kit from Petco. It has a 15w fluorescent light. We started this tank almost 1 year ago. At this time there are 2 clown fish, 1 fire dartfish(?), 1 striped shrimp goby, 1 pistol shrimp, 1 conch, 1 emerald crab, and of course some hermits and snails.
We want to upgrade to some corals but want/need to upgrade the lighting first.
The first question is about the existing top. I think we need to get a glass top. Where do I find them? Are there lots of different kinds?
Second question is what kind of light? I want to start with some soft corals but would like to work towards hard corals and an anemone. What would you suggest?

Did I ever tell you about the time Brasky went hunting? Well anyway, Brasky decides he's gonna hunt down all four members of the Banana Splits. He stalks and kills every one of them with a machete. They all beg for their lives, except Fleagul.

Yes 150-175 watt Mh is where I am leaning. I'm confused by the glass top though. It's a 26 G BOW FRONT. How does that work? I can't find it. Am I missing something?
Thanks for your help
