250w HQI Bulbs

My fixture currently has Coralife 250w 10K HQI bulbs. Does anyone have any experience with the Coralife bulbs? How do they hold up as compared to the AB or XM? I'm thinking about switching to a bluer bulb when I replace the current ones. They are about 6 months old now.

not much help, i only have SE bulbs.

Buy the ABs they will out last the others. You will get a full year out of the ABs and will be in need of replacing the others after 7 or 8 months. AB carries a 14k or you can consider the Hamiltons.

I was looking at the coralife bulbs I have now and they, only 6 months old and already have burned in black areas on the bulbs. I think I will go with the AB 14K bulbs.

I wonder if these bulbs are causing some of my HA outbreak. I am feeding the way I always have and the algae just started about 2 weeks ago. I know that my actinics are due to be replaced anytime.

most MH's will get a burned in looking area where the main bulb firing occurs.
