I have not seen 6 bulb 24" but TEK fixture by Sunlight Supply Co. has 4 bulb with individul reflectors. Try www.aquacave.com or www.petmountain.com for fixtures.

That would be better than 6 bulbs.

well, i know about the TEK fixtures i have a 48" 8 bulb TEK fixture over my 90 gallon

i was just hoping that someone made a smaller 24" fixture with 6 bulbs instead of just 4 - with individual parabolic reflectors, ofcourse.

how do you like that T5 fixture with the 8 bulbs? I was thinking of getting that on a 48" long 120g. Also, what corals do you keep or plan on keeping?

Im kinda curious if 8x54w will be enough wattage/PAR for SPS/LPS/Softies in a 120g tank. I may be moving back to the valley where its 100+ in the summer, and the cooler running lights seem like a real bonus!

I had always assumed it was 24 as it looks so much smaller than my 75.

I just measured it and it is actually 36 x 12, so I need a 36 inch fixture instead. The problem with the 12 inches is that I have an Octopus Dual 300 HOB skimmer on it and that thing is HUGE. I would probably have to go with a hanging kit as well as I don't see it sitting on top of the tank with any type of legs.

Oh well, that's what I get for thinking.

it's great, it can put out enough light to upset lower light demanding corals

i have 4 bulbs come on from noon till 9pm
all eight are on from 4pm till 8:30pm

my tank is currently still understocked;

SPS : pink birdsnest, acropora millepora
LPS : open brain, frogspawn, blastomussa wellsi, candy cane
frilly and blue mushrooms
some zoas and palys

i will be selling this fixture (and current 90G setup) when i have completed my new (smaller) tank. yes, i'm downsizing

I have the Tek 48" T5 on my 150(48" long) As jph said it is fine for any soft corals and It actually melted a few zoas when I first set it up. You could keep SPS with it at least higher up.
